Teacher Mentors Abroad is a group of people passionate about education and dedicated to building the capacity of teachers in countries with greater needs.
We are teachers, educational administrators and business people with many years of combined experience. At the invitation of educators in under-resourced communities, we work with partners on the ground to enhance and strengthen teacher instructional skills, teaching methodologies and professional development systems.
Educators in under-resourced countries are skilled, caring professionals, committed to providing the best educational experiences for their students. Unfortunately, the educational infrastructures in their countries often don't provide the resources teachers need to be fully effective in their jobs.
Teacher Mentors Abroad partners with these educators by identifying gaps in educational resources and teacher professional development, conducting lead teacher training programs, and building sustainable leadership skills within their communities.
We invite you to read on about our mission, our values and our current projects.
It is our sincere hope that you will partner with us in the important work of helping under-resourced teachers build bright futures for their students.

In July, two teams of educators from Durham, York, Toronto, London and Waterloo school districts will train 200 Dominican public school educators from various parts of the country in best teaching practices and educational leadership.
